Virtual Reality Anti-Bullying Incursion

On Tuesday 3rd April students in Years 6 to 9 participated in an Anti-Bullying incursion using virtual reality technology. Using VR goggles, students watched a scenario involving bullying behaviour and could then ask the characters questions about why they acted the way they did. Students brainstormed the three features of what constitutes bullying behaviour:
1. There is intent
2. It is repetitive
3. There is an imbalance of power

This incursion promoted the message that we are all equal and that we all deserve respect. Students also played an interactive game about being a good citizen and how they would react to different events.
