Message from the Principal

The wet weather has provided us with many challenges as we adapt to new buildings, new dangers, new students and new car parks. The new car park on Pectoral Promenade has been accelerated in its delivery to try and alleviate some of the traffic congestion that forms each day at 8.15am and 3.00pm.

This new car park will be available for use in the next few days. The actual completed car park will not be finished until later in the year, but in essence, it will be functional for us to use. We will be waiting for lights to be completed and gates to be powered up, but other than that, it will be the finished product.

The concept for this area is that parents of students above Year 2 will use the Pectoral Promenade car park for drop off and pick ups. If you have a child in Year 1 and Year 4, we would expect to see you use Pectoral Promenade for drop off  and pick up. If you solely have children in Kindergarten to Year 2, then please continue to use the Graceful Boulevard car park.

The traffic flow charts will follow, but effectively we expect parents to park in the bays provided right up until 3.10 when the kiss and drive area is then expected to be used. It is frustrating for all when parents park in the kiss and drive area 20-30 minutes before school begins or ends. This can also cause major issues with any buses that are returning students from events.

Our community works very effectively when we all show empathy for others and respect rules that are designed to benefit us all.

Please show respect for others, especially the staff on duty who are simply trying to keep traffic moving and making it fair for everyone.

Be patient with us as the School evolves, as we will continually be forced to plan on the run as new facilities come on line.

Mr Adrian Pree
