Principal's Blog - November

Found in: Principal's Blog

St James’ is finally starting to look like we will be ready for our first intake of students in January 2015. Handover of our building should be by the 17th December. The inside of the Stage One block looks amazing. You can come and see for yourself on December 20th when we invite our families in for a sausage sizzle and a guided tour.

You may have noticed that the landscaping has begun, with reticulation of the playing field complete. In the next week you should see turf being rolled out. Later in the month the carpark will be completed.

Furniture will be arriving in the next week, including desks, chairs, library shelving and soft furnishings. Our uniform fittings have nearly finished with the last few families dropping in for the first look at the House shirts. Excitement is in the air as students find out which House they will belong to next year.

Cervantes ( blue), Eglinton ( gold), Sydney ( green) and Twilight (red), will be the names we cheer on next year. These Western Australian shipwrecks will provide great research assignments for our students.

Student enrolments are filling fast as we approach 150 students with many classes near capacity.

If you would like to know more about our growing school,  then feel free to come in and talk to Tara Campbell (Enrolments) Lisa Whitty ( Business Manager), or myself about securing a place.

Kind Regards,

Adrian Pree
