On Friday 22 November St James’ held its annual Sports Awards Assembly. This event celebrates the commitment, dedication and success of St James’ interschool teams, plus some outstanding individual achievements.

Congratulations to Halle Richards (Year 6) and Joel Lucas (Year 10) who were awarded Junior Sportsperson of the Year and Senior Sportsperson of the Year.

The students were also lucky to have former Hockeyroo, dual Commonwealth Games gold medalist and World Cup silver medalist Rachael Lynch come along to speak about balancing everyday life with being an elite athlete.

Well done to everyone who received an award at the assembly and thank you to all St James’ competitors for a fantastic 2019 of sport.
