The Art Department along with students from Year 2 to 11 are pleased to welcome our local Artist in Residence; Sean Adamas. This year students will be working with Sean to design and construct our sculptural entry for this years Lantern Parade. Each class will be involved in creating individual elements of the Octopus Sculpture which will then be taken away and used to create the final masterpiece.
The Lantern Parade is part of the Joondalup Festival which will be held on Saturday 5 April. Students will have the opportunity to help manipulate and support our Octopus Sculpture during the parade, as our aim for the finished sculpture is for it to be mobile, with tentacles waving in the air.
Below are some images of the individual elements being painted and constructed from the first day of the workshop. Additional images to follow from day two and the final masterpiece to be unveiled.
