The Friends of St James’ (FOST) have funded many initiatives this year. One, in particular, was the purchase of a new Thermomix.
To demonstrate how the nutrition of food can be improved through simple ideas such as adding more veggies to your recipes the Year 12 Food Science and Technology students had the opportunity to create spinach pasta in the new Thermomix. Safe to say, it was a huge success!
The bright green colour was amazing. Trent used the Kitchen Aide pasta making attachment to create the fresh pasta while Abby created a ‘Green Goddess,’ sauce to serve with the Spaghetti and Meatballs, again using the Thermomix.
Food, Science and Technology working together for all to enjoy a deliciously different meal.
