This year St James’ is collecting items for Children in Care, a local organisation that collects and delivers care bags to children in foster care. This is the first year that St James’ has been a part of the Children in Care appeal and we are very proud to say that we have had an overwhelming response from students and families of St James’.

In previous social media posts, we highlighted students who have been so generous as to donate a complete care bag to Children in Care. Today we highlight student Christiaan Barnard and his family who so generously donated two care bags for a teenage boy and girl. These bags provide more than the contents inside of them, but also a message that someone cares.

Thank you to all the students and families who have so generously donated items to the Children in Care appeal. The Orange Army is leaving its mark on the community and children in foster care.

Donations can be made until Friday 25 November.
