The sun was shining on St James’ as the School celebrated its founders day on Friday 03 July. Albeit slightly different to most years due to Covid-19 restrictions, this did not stop the Orange Army from celebrating St James’ day.
The day commenced with a service in the Djinda Sports Centre for Years 3 – 11 followed by a series of educational activities based around service, helping others and gratitude. This year all students from both the Junior and Senior Schools participated in the Camino Dreaming Pilgrims’ Walk around the perimeter of the School. With newly erected information signs along the route, every student was provided with questions to answer along the way. Junior School students welcomed Senior School students into their classrooms for cross-campus engagement while Year 7 and 8 students were involved in the mass planting activities around the campus. Our Year 11 students worked on their 2021 area alongside the main entrance of the School and lunch was prepared by the Year 10 students for the entire school.
What a fantastic way to celebrate Saint James and finish off Term 2.
