ANZAC Day 2020, did not have its traditional Dawn Service or march this year and has quite possibly paved the way to a new and even more inclusive tradition lighting up our driveways.
Here at St James’ we are very fortunate to have a number of students who remembered those you fought for us. Year 5 student, Claire Brown, worked hard over the holidays to learn The Last Post on alto saxophone to play on her driveway for ANZAC Day. A very difficult song to learn and play for any musician, let alone a beginner who has been learning for just over three months, Claire taught herself with just a little bit of help.
Congratulations to Claire and all the other students from St James’ who showed respect on ANZAC Day. Please click on the link below to view a video of Claire’s performance. Lest we forget.
