Teachers and Student Service Leaders from eight different ASC schools met at St George’s Anglican Grammar School for a networking meeting to brainstorm and discuss ideas for our inaugural Service Expo to be held in 2022.

Students shared their ideas and opinions on how ASC schools can come together to serve their communities. Teachers outlined the details of guest speakers, workshops and how to deliver the message of servant leadership at the upcoming Expo.

After the meeting, teachers and students walked through the city to see what services are on offer for people that are homeless. A highlight of the day was a presentation at St Bart’s in Lime Street, one of Perth’s leading community service organisations. Students learnt how St Bart’s helps more than 500 people each night who may be experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, domestic violence or hardship.

It was a great experience for the St James’ Student Service Leaders and we look forward to 2022 for the inaugural Service Expo.
