Choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make, as you seek to give your son or daughter the best possible start in life. We would like to assist you in this decision to ensure the education, care and development of your child. We value your interest in St James’ Anglican School. The School operates as an all inclusive co-educational day school, Kindergarten to Year 12 and offers affordable education in the Anglican tradition.

Apply Online

We are delighted that you are interested in applying for a place at St James’ Anglican School for your child.

Before you complete our online Application for Enrolment form, please be aware that we will need a scanned copy of a few important documents to complete your online registration including:

  • A copy of your child’s birth certificate
  • Copies of your child’s last two school reports (if applicable)
  • Copy of your child’s latest NAPLAN results for Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 (if applicable)
  • Specialist reports (if applicable)
  • Medical reports (if applicable)
  • Visa or proof of residency status (if not an Australian citizen)
  • The student’s Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement
  • Evidence of medical reason not to be vaccinated (AIR Immunisation Medical Exemption Form); or
  • AIR Immunisation History Form (if the student is on a catch-up period/16 week grace period; or 
  • A valid immunisation certificate issued or declared by the Chief Health Officer; or 
  • Exemption Eligibility Form (family circumstances)

Please note: The School does not accept conscientious objection as a valid exemption from immunisation requirements. 

Once you have submitted the form, please contact the Enrolments Officer on 08 6336 8330 to make payment of AUD$50.00 (inc GST) application fee.

Steps to Apply

Please follow our easy, four-step process to complete your application. To find out more, contact our Enrolments Officer who is here to make the application process for you as easy as possible.

Step 1: Visit Us

If you would like to know more about SJAS, have any questions, would like to book a tour or be added to our mailing list, please let us know via our online enquiry form or call us on (08) 6336 8330 during office hours.

Step 2: Apply Online

Complete your application for enrolment online and pay your $50.00 (AUD) application fee. You will need to scan a few important documents to complete your application.

Step 3: Interview

The School will contact you to make an appointment. Interviews are usually conducted six to 12 months prior to your child’s first day. If an immediate, mid-term entry is required and vacancies in that year level exist, we will do all we can to accommodate you.

Step 4: Offered a Place

Following an assessment of the enrolment application and interview, you will receive a letter to advise whether or not your application has been successful. If your child is offered a place you will be asked to confirm your acceptance and to pay a non-refundable acceptance fee.

Confirmation of Place

To accept your place, payment of an acceptance fee is required. First child is $500, $300 for the second child and $200 for the third child enrolled from the same family, to a maximum of $1000.00.

Orientation and Welcome

Prior to your child commencing school, you will be required to complete and return the School’s compulsory new student forms (including any medical/allergy details). Should a formal orientation not be available (for example, mid-term entry), students are invited to attend SJAS for a day, where they have the opportunity to meet with their classmates and spend a day as an SJAS student.

Students will be invited to attend depending on year group either a half day or a full-day orientation program on a weekday during Term 4 the year prior to commencing at St James’.
