SJAS participates in the CAS league during summer and winter months. Coastal Associated Sport is an interschool sport league devised by the Associated and Catholic Colleges to encourage participation, sportsmanship, and healthy competition between local schools.

Students are encouraged to trial and join the St James’ Anglican School CAS squad teams. This interschool sporting competition currently includes the following sports:

• Indoor beach volleyball (mixed)
• Volleyball (girls / boys)
• Basketball (girls/ boys)
• Cricket (mixed)
• Touch rugby (mixed)

CAS fixtures are played at SJAS home, and away against the following schools:

• Irene McCormack College
• Lake Joondalup Baptist College
• Mater Dei College
• Peter Moyes Anglican Community School
• Prendiville Catholic College
• St Mark’s Anglican Community School
• St Stephen’s school (Duncraig)
